Privacy statement
Last updated: 27 October 2026
This privacy statement explains which personal data we process when you visit this website, leavedays.com, or its Dutch version vrijedagen.nl, why we do so and what your rights are. It covers the website only. Your use of the Leavedays application is covered by your agreement with Compete HR.
Who are we?
This website belongs to Compete HR Solutions B.V., Algerastraat 7, 3125 BS Schiedam, the Netherlands, Chamber of Commerce number 92205410. We are responsible for the processing of personal data through this website.

Which data do we process and why?
Through this website we only process the following data:
- Website visits (Google Analytics), only with your consent: which pages you view, which website referred you, your type of device and browser, and your approximate location (country and city). Your IP address is sent to Google to determine that location, but Google Analytics 4 does not store it. We use this to improve the website. Legal basis: your consent. Data per visit is deleted after 14 months; after that we only keep totals (such as the number of visits per month) that cannot be traced back to you.
- Your cookie choice: whether you accepted or declined Google Analytics. This choice is only stored in your own browser, not by us, so we don't have to ask again on every visit. Leavedays.com and vrijedagen.nl each keep their own choice, so we ask again on the other domain.
- Technical data: to serve the website, our hosting provider Microsoft Azure processes, among other things, your IP address, the time and the requested page for every visit. This is needed to keep the website secure and available. Legal basis: our legitimate interest. This data is kept for at most [period to be added].
- Contact: if you e-mail or call us, we use your name, contact details and question to help you. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering your question, or steps towards an agreement. We keep this as long as needed for your question.
- Booking a demonstration (Calendly): the demo page shows the Calendly calendar. When that page loads, Calendly receives technical data such as your IP address and browser, as with any website. If you book an appointment, we process your name, e-mail address, the chosen time and anything else you fill in, to give the demonstration and e-mail you about it. Legal basis: steps towards an agreement, at your request. We keep this as long as needed for the demonstration and any follow-up.
Cookies
Only if you click "Accept" does Google Analytics place cookies (_ga and _ga_<id>) to count visits. These cookies are kept for up to 2 years. If you click "Decline", no cookies are placed and Google Analytics is not loaded.
You can change your choice at any time via "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page. If you withdraw your consent, we remove the Google Analytics cookies and stop measuring. Data collected before stays with Google until the end of the retention period; withdrawing does not make the earlier processing unlawful.
If you have given consent and switch to the other domain through the language menu, Google Analytics adds a code to the address (_gl), so your visit is counted as one visit. On the other domain this code is only used if you choose "Accept" there as well.
On the demo page Calendly may place its own cookies in the calendar. You make that choice in Calendly's own cookie notice.
The demo page also has an introduction video from YouTube. We only load it when you click the video, through youtube-nocookie.com. As long as you don't click, nothing goes to YouTube. If you start the video, YouTube (Google) receives your IP address and may store data in your browser; Google's privacy policy applies to that.
Who do we share data with?
Google Ireland Ltd processes the visit data on our behalf as a processor, only with your consent. Google may transfer data to the United States; this happens under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Microsoft processes the technical data as our hosting provider in Europe. Calendly LLC processes the data of a booked demonstration on our behalf as a processor, in the United States; this happens under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. We do not sell your data and do not share it with others for their own purposes.
This statement does not cover the trial registration and the Leavedays login page; they are part of the application. Other websites we link to have their own privacy statement.
Automated decisions
We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing, and we do not create a profile of you.
Security
The website is only served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). We take appropriate measures to protect your data against loss and unauthorised use.
Your rights
You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict its processing, to object to the processing and to data portability. You can withdraw your consent for Google Analytics at any time.
Send your request to support@compete-hr.com. We will respond within one month.
Complaints
Not happy with how we handle your data? Please let us know. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).

We may update this privacy statement, for example when the website changes. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
